Before we begin

I would like to take a moment to thank you for signing up to this workshop. I hope you are excited to start working on your figure drawings with me.

The techniques that I will be teaching are ones that I learnt through experience and some of the best academies and teachers available. The skill of portrait painting is one that develops over the long term and, while I will guide you through this course from which you will hopefully have a number of studies that you will feel proud of, I hope it is the underlying principles and processes that you will take forward in your artistic endeavours.

Below you will find a short video and pdf on the materials you will need to source before the beginning of the course. I will also be sharing links for the parts of the courses that you are signed up to as we reach each corresponding section. You will find a large amount of learning material that I have created for your benefit and your learning. Please do not share the links as they should remain private for students use only.

I will look forward to meeting you all in person and seeing your skills, understanding, and vision develop over the duration of the course.
